About the event
Jointly Human, Striped & Subluxed is a laughter yoga experience designed for bodies that don’t always stay where they’re “supposed” to—and minds that have learned to adapt, compensate, and persist.
The name holds meaning. “Jointly human” speaking to a shared embodiment and collective care. “Striped” a nod to individuality, nervous system variation, and the visible/invisible patterns we carry. “Subluxed” acknowledges joint instability and connective tissue differences—not as a limitation to be fixed, but as a lived reality that deserves gentleness, humor, and support.
This class blends guided laughter practices, rhythmic breathing, gentle vocalization, and playful group connection.
There is no requirement for flexibility, stamina, or physical performance. Participation can be fully seated, adaptive, or micro-movement based. The focus is not on exertion—it is on nervous system engagement through safe, accessible joy.
Why laughter yoga matters—especially for connective tissue disorders and disability
For people living with hypermobility spectrum disorders, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, chronic pain, dysautonomia, or…
